The main lesson that St. Patrick taught us is peace and how you can spread Christianity through peace and do not need to engage into violent acts. A bad example would be the conquistadors who killed people because they had not converted or other countries who persecuted people for not being christian. St. Patrick converted the same people that enslaved him without any bloodshed because he knew that it says in the bible that there is a future for a man of peace. He was successful in spreading Christianity peacefully is celebrated today because of that. St. Patrick also had a great understanding of the bible which enabled him to teach peacefully and properly. St. Peter also teaches us to persevere and overcome our obstacles and to be brave. He shows us to persevere because he was enslaved for six years but he never stopped believing in God and eventually God set him free. Also his story teaches us to be brave and have courage because he had the courage to return back to Ireland after he had been enslaved by pagans and druids, he decided to go back there and right their wrongs and put them on the true path of following God. He also taught us to have peace. There are many examples of Christians who spread there religion violently but St. Patrick faces violent druids and pagans but still taught the religion peacefully just as he is supposed to do and was successful converting all of Ireland in a time period of 40 years.
